Founded in 1862, Casir dos Santos is one of the oldest wineries still operating in Argentina. The winery produces wine from the Uco Valley, Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu.

The winery was modernized and equipped with “state of the art” technology – a real example of science and technology placed at service of the most noble beverages to maintain its essence unpolluted. We produce wine form vineyards in 3 different places in the Uco Valley, and from Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu, we have the best from every wine region in Mendoza Winery Acreage: 142 Winery Production: 20,000 9L cases Varietals Produced: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay Winemaker: Didier Debono Vineyards: Finca Biondolillo, INTA, Novifruit, Pavot Dor, A16 and Gabrielli We strongly believe that winemaking is the art of liberating the vines essence outgrown from their weather and soils conditions. This is the reason why our vineyards are carefully selected for each of our lines.

The youngest line from Casir dos Santos, Avatar is the embodiment of the Agrelo´s terroir in a wine. Striking, audacious, joyful, profound. A spontaneous and pleasurable experience for the senses.

The Organic grapes for this lovely wine come from Gualtallary and Vista Flores, two different sub-regions within the Uco Valley, in the South of Mendoza Province.
These vineyards are located at 1,000 and 1,150 meters above sea level respectively. Winters are cold and summers warm, with large diurnal temperature oscillation. The rock and sandy type of soil gives a complex and fresh kind of wine, which this amazing terroir expresses purely and authentically.

There is an intense presence of fruit in this fresh and complex wine, with a round palate coming from the oak aging. Good acidity to complete the freshness and balance.
